Why does my head hurt? :(

pain at base of skull, on lefthand side. has been there all day, a sudden throb that feels like someone is hitting me

no injury that i can remember

is getting annoying now and sharp enough to make me gasp when it happens

there's a muscle that joins the skull there, you could have twisted funny and pulled it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longus_capitis_muscle
Try taking some ibruprofen, and put something warm on it, on of those wheat bag thingis, or a hot water bottle.

If it's still sore over the weekend get it checked out! Best to do than wish you had :D

thank you! (i am OP ) - may well be this as did more exercise than usual day before pain. is better today but still there, think is going away though.
