I've had it with Implanon

Had it in 18 months now.

For the first 6 months I had no periods.

I have now been on for about 6 out of the last 8 weeks. Stopped last Monday and I can feel it starting again.

And it's making me fat. Well, it's either that or the over eating.

Enough is enough.

I know what you mean, I had no periods for 5 years, with being pregnant and breastfeeding.

I had the implanon in June 09 i was fine for the first 2 months then after that i started to get periods every 3 weeks and sometimes they last for one month, ive been on my period now for 11 days. I'm not gaining weight but has made me very very moody.

I have called family planning to take it out but it's a machine, ive left my number so many times and nobody has got back to me. I just feel like i want to rip it out.

I have the implanon in for a few years now, this is my second one. I think DP or I will be getting sterilised after this, as the doctor made a mess of my arm trying to get the old one out and put a new one in. I don't want to do that every 3 years!

It just seems so final though, HellBent. I was on the pill for 16 years and always managed to remember it. Then after 2 years off it ttc/pregnant I just couldn't remember to take it. Hence the Implanon. Why's it all so difficult?
