We took the tablets tuesday.Ive scrubbed the house top to bottom, vacumed the carpets and matresses. Mopped all the floors, throughy cleaned the bathroom bleached bath toys.Replaced tooth brushes. Washed and tumbled dried all bedding, towels and pjs for the last two days!Bathed us all every morning and before bed. Need to also wash all their cuddlies when the weather allows me to dry them and maybe disinfect their toys. And thinking of disinfecting all the kitchen cupboards in a bit. Anyone know how much longer i need to continue doing this im knackered.com! Do i still need to change bedding, towels etc every day?

I would recommend burning all soft furnishings too.

islandofsodor · 24/02/2010 14:06

Gosh, I never did all of that.

I changed the bedding once and kept separate towels for dd thats about it.

lucykate · 24/02/2010 14:10

when ds had them, i changed his bedding every day for 2 weeks till the second dose, washed his towel every day and got him to sleep in pants under his pj's to minimise any future spread of eggs.

rather than wash all the cuddlies, i did a cull, removed most for about a month or so (until any eggs will have died off) and only washed the favorites so he could have them back.

didn't do the kitchen cupboards though!

disinfectant does nothing.....so i'd not bother with that

you do know he's likely be re-infected again dont you? very soon, unless everyone else at school/nursery treats their entire family at the same time
