Tingling in hands and feet.

For the last month or so I've had this odd tingling/buzzing in my hands and feet. Started in my left foot and GP thought it might be my back and so I've been seeing a physio (have had back problems on and off for ages). But now its also in my other foot and my left hand. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Viral thing? Pretty sure not massively serious as otherwise I feel well etc. Bit stressed at work and have 2 LOs under 4, the usual. Guess I will go back to the GP but putting it off as fear he'll just say it's one of those things or a virus... Any thoughts gratefully received!

Spinneyhorse - really feel that you shouldn't be hijacking threads when people have real health concerns with your own personal health mission. Sorry, I just don't feel it's appropriate and I see you've posted on quite a few other General Health threads.

SydneyB, So mine isn't real?

And yes i do try to make people more aware of ES which is not taken seriously in this country. [ Many ES victims suffer in the UK ] its recognized in Sweden, and Canada.

All im saying is that you try and rule out this as a possibility! Isn't it a forum. Hijacking interesting.

Sorry if i have upset you. Im try to help others! I hope its not ES and you feel better soon.

I had this last summer - for weeks, pins and needles in hands and feet and pain in toes. Convinced myself I had MS. Also thought it maybe down to anxiety.
Anyway, after awhile it has completely disappeared. The only other thing I can put it down to was viral, as at around the same time my dd had a virus (came out in red blotches all over his body and high temp for about 3 days).
so please don't worry!
I read on a website for people that have health anxiety (I'm not suggesting you do, but I am prone to it!), it said if you have any syptoms that you do not consider life threatening immediatetely, then just forget about it and keep busy.If things keep bugging you don't worry make an appt with the GP then get on with other things.

Hello all - so I'm back after neuro appointment and blood tests. All TOTALLY NORMAL. I still have the tingling but the neuro said the hand stuff is most likely carpal tunnel and the other symptoms are absolutely nothing to worry about. They will probably go away. There are loads of neuro symptoms that can be brought on by anxiety/stress and exarcebated by health anxiety (which I think I suffer a little from). Anyway, I just wanted to come on here and reassure other 'tinglers' that it isn't necessarily anything to worry about. Neuro said 90% of the people he sees have symptoms like me which are nothing to worry about.

Hi Sydney B.

This may be a long shot, since it was 10 years ago but how are you now? Im 39 and been having pins and needles in feet and hands for a few weeks now. My bloods have come back within range. I also had a MRI done and it came back clear, MS has been ruled out. Love to hear from you and how you got on. Thank you.

Hi @Bhai12345 I was just wondering how you were getting on? I’m having similar symptoms with burning in hands and feet so trying to find some answers.

inkworks273 · 27/10/2020 07:00

Not sure if you’re still around too @SydneyB?

Oliviabaku · 04/10/2023 10:42

My mom has MS so I’m constantly having anxieties about it too. Can you please let me know how you are getting on?
