Ok, bit grim, sorry! Have what I'm sure is a fungal nail infection and am breastfeeding. None of the standard treatments can be used whilst BF, and not about to stop any time soon. Any suggestions for alternative ways to treat the mankiness?

I went on fluconazole for breast thrush (oral tablets) and it completely cleared up my nail as well! It's compatible with breastfeeding but you might have to take the BfN leaflet with you which you can find here.

Do I get a medal for clicking on your thread?!

Yes! Will fashion one from tin foil and sticky backed plastic, a la Blue Peter. Thanks for the advice.
