MMR at 12 *Years*?

My son is twelve and we've just had a letter inviting him along to be immunised with the MMR in March. He already had it at 12 months and then at his pre-school jolly. Does he need it a third time or is this a cock up?

(Surgery is closed and I won't be able to ring them from work. It will take heaven and earth to get him to the surgery at the appointed hour in a couple of weeks and I don't understand why we've been asked!)

TIA!

He shouldn't, according to the normal schedule, how odd? Maybe your surgery runs a different program. Certainly worth asking about.

You don't need to do it when they say do you? Can you make an appointment at a more convenient time. Maybe there've been outbreaks in your area.

You don't have to do it all should you so wish!!

I think my niece was offered it again at this age, my sister declined. (she had had the others)
