Movicol laxatives = weight gain??

I've been taking movicol for the past 4 days and my weight has rocketed! not only that ... but I look 6 months pregnant.

I read that bloating of the stomach can be a side-effect but why has my weight shot up from 11st 7lbs to 11st 11lbs in the matter of days??

Has anyone experienced this?

If you are taking laxatives surely that means you haven't had a crap in days. So the 4 lb weight gain is a 4 lb crap.

Thing is, before I started taking this stuff I hadn't had a crap for around 3 weeks! and I weighed 11st 7lbs then. So I assumed, after a couple of bog visitations I would lose a few lbs!

Anyway I've spent the past couple of days on the bog and actually gained weight! it doesn't make much sense.

I wish I could have a 4lb crap though

Belgo, DH thinks it is water retention too as the movicol causes water to stay in the bowel apparantly. Also my legs and eyes are looking puffy.

True, so it will all be fine, you will just be unable to sit for a while.

I've been on these for 10 days. I felt bloated and not been eating as much. Still going to the gym. Weighed myself and I've put on 2 kilos which for 5 ft 2 is a lot. I finish today and will be interested to see if the weight goes down.
