Sudden colic at 10 1/2 months? Help please!

My 10 1/2 month dd has started to wake up at night, absolutely screaming - rigid back, clearly in quite a lot of pain. Seems like colic, which she's never had before. She's now done this twice - terrifying the first time, had a high temperature. Could this tummy pain be caused by teething? or possible dehydration? Has anyone else experience this?

She's normally a very good, placid baby and a great sleeper, so very unusual.

Could be a tummy bug?

Is she generally unwell? Has her diet changed recently? Is she constipated?

No generally very well, no changes to her diet (lives off permannent cauliflower cheese!) All I can think of is really bad teething, but she obviously has tummy pain as arches her back very dramatically.

I think teething can cause diarrhea, which could cause tummy pain. Some say teething can cause high temperatures, too.

I don't think this can be colic, as that's really only a small baby thing, and it's all about crying for long periods of time, generally in the evening. (I'm not sure, though, I've not had to deal with colic myself.)

It's very frustrating when they can't tell you what's wrong, isn't it.
