Usually when I've had a beer or a glass of wine, but all week I've had this annoying twitch under my left eye that will not go away.

Any ideas?

I have it under my right eye. Started as the eye lid and has moved down my face. Drives me insane. Perhaps it's catching

mine almost always related to being extremely tired - don't know whether you are v tired at the moment?

PureAsTheColdDrivenSnow · 12/02/2010 21:05

it has been a week of 6:30am wake-ups following a long period of 8am () wake-ups.

you're probably right. I was worried the booze might be doing somethign weird.

PureAsTheColdDrivenSnow · 12/02/2010 21:08

it's so annoying! I haven't had it for years and years, and now I have it for an hour at least, every night. grrr.

Tiredness, definitely.

PureAsTheColdDrivenSnow · 13/02/2010 00:39

surely not...at this time of night?

It's fatigue. The two main parts of the body affected by fatigue are the eyes and the hands. Poor hand-eye coordination, twitchy eyes etc first signs of Go To Bed Now syndrome.

PureAsTheColdDrivenSnow · 13/02/2010 00:48

weird. Typing is not affected. Wasn't earlier either.

Yes. must Go To Bed.

I get that sometimes too, haven't noticed a correlation with tiredness, but maybe it is. I also occasionally get an odd twitchy finger, but I quite like it

Alexking · 13/02/2010 01:04

Not had this for a while, but have had in the past. I have heard that weird eye twitches is something only women suffer from. Not sure how true that is, maybe our eyes are wired up differently from men's.

TidyBush · 13/02/2010 01:06

I get this on and off and I can certainly link it to knackered woman syndrome

PureAsTheColdDrivenSnow · 13/02/2010 01:08

weird. DS is 26mo. would have tought KWS would hvae hit by now :-p

[must sleep]

Definitely tiredness - I know I'm really tired when it starts, although I get it in the outer corner of my upper eyelid usually. I think dehydration can add to the problem - drink lots of water and get some decent sleep (if you can ) and see if that stops it!

In other words, GO TO BED!!
