can you get noro virus more than once in say a 4 month period?

ds myself and dh all had it really badly about 10 weeks ago. ds has had a cough and cold for a good week or so and appropos of nothing was sick twice in a 2 hour period on tuesday nothing since. I felt digestively horrible monday, grumbly, rumbly gassy and nauseous but no vomiting and now feel so again today. mil is convinced we have noro again and wont come near us... and so was just wondering?

I could be wrong..but I think once you have the virus it stays in your system and you can have repeat attacks. DH and I both had it and have had repeat attacks of it each with the same symptoms only not so much vom as the first time.
