Someone get me to shut up on this thread - getting angry (again). Wish I could stop speaking my mind today!

Oh Norma

Get well soon!

bellavita · 11/02/2010 20:15

Hope you feel better tomorrow Norma

BitOfFun · 11/02/2010 20:24

Oh bless you Norma

TrillianAstra · 11/02/2010 20:24

DP has gone to the pub. I could have gone but it is chilly out there. I am a wimp.

MyCatIsABastard · 11/02/2010 20:26

Norma hope you feel well very soon.

Vinny, it has made me laugh that even though I posted on the wrong thread you still found my answer to your question. Tonight DD and her ted (purple is his name and we get a purple story every night) had a story about staying dry at night and how you do it. She was showing purple how to use the potty in the night and try and hold it in. Purple will also get a present if he has a dry night, as will DD. Not sure if this cunning obscure piece of psychology will work, but I'll let you know.

BitOfFun · 11/02/2010 20:27

Oh, I've updated my thread about dd1, btw, here

hellsbelles · 11/02/2010 20:27

evening all. Yank at your energy and resolve. I have meanwhile managed to go out...buy things (nothing practical) and upset my mum with a frankly really tactless comment. I never do that. I hate upsetting people - and now I have. And she is giving me the real woe is me and being very unforgiving (probably quite rightly)

I have of course put on my sack cloth and ashes but that doesn't seem to be working.

Very sad about AMQ. Shiney will checkout FB. He used to have his studio very near where we work so saw him out and about a bit. Such a waste.

I was so good about supper. Roasted chicken peices, wild rice and roasted peppers with feta. Ruined by eating loads of florentines my Mum made. She does that whole 'you need to eat more' bollocks that all Mums do - and no it's not because I'm too thin (she did it when I was huge as well).

FiveGoMadInDorset · 11/02/2010 20:28

Evening all, Dh has just dispatched a badger that some freinds hit but didn't kill. That is our excitment for the night.

Goober · 11/02/2010 20:28

Hey-eeelp!!

BitOfFun · 11/02/2010 20:29

Oh dear.

Badger pie, anyone?

TrillianAstra · 11/02/2010 20:42

Help me find something I might like to buy from www.very.co.uk

Not skinny jeans. My calves don't like them.

Lizzylou · 11/02/2010 20:44

Aww Norma, I hope you feel better soon, lovely.

Hells, am sure your Mom will forgive and forget.

Didn't go to the gym, DH back too late and had a bit of a weep because DS2 said he was always happy at the CM and at preschool and wished he could stay there "longer times".
DH pointed out that it was just because I have to discipline him (he is, by all accounts an angel with CM/preschool )and say "no" to him.
But still.......
I just feel I am doing nothing well at the moment.

TrillianAstra · 11/02/2010 20:46

Don't know how to help Goober - your message got deleted!

My Dad once nearly hit a badger and got scared and imagined that it followed him home. Your DH is much more of a man Fanny!

TrillianAstra · 11/02/2010 20:48

Is it increadibly trashy that I kind of want this?

Lizzylou · 11/02/2010 20:51

Erm, is it for a special occasion?
Bit much for nipping out to Tescos in, think it's the fact that Caprice is wearing it in a wind tunnel that is putting me off.

hellsbelles · 11/02/2010 20:53

I think it'll be incredible useful for meetings Trills. I always find that when I dress well for work things go better

Lizzy thanks - but you haven't yet met mother Hells...Lovely though she is that woman takes things sooooo personally and can hold a grievance for years.

traceybath · 11/02/2010 20:58

Well trills - as long as you didn't go near any naked flames

Oooh Hells - I did a foot in mouth thing recently and was mortified as generally try to be super sensitive to people.

MyCatIsABastard · 11/02/2010 20:58

Trills that is a great dress for opening the door to tradesmen in. Go for it.

TrillianAstra · 11/02/2010 20:59

See, you are good Lizzy, you're good at mocking Caprice (and my taste in dresses). I don't have an occasion for it, which is why I can't have it. But it's so purple.

MyCatIsABastard · 11/02/2010 21:00

Oh dear hells. Hope she gets over it soon.

TrillianAstra · 11/02/2010 21:01

Yes, I should be sensible and buy some work clothes shouldn't I? I've been trying to dress more grown-up (it's a very casual office) because it makes me feel more profesional and in control.

You're right MyCat - it looks a little bit like a v long complicated negligee. Good for opening the door to tradesmen but probably not even allowed in Tesco!
