Ok its nothing major but very annoying. every little cut seems to take ages to heal and generally scares. Often with a kelatoid(sp?) scar. Why? and is there anything i can do to improve my cut healing ability and reduce the amount of scars i am getting. It seems stupid to get such big scars from stupid little scratches.

Might not be relevant but am a persistant post viral syndrome sufferer when run down.

Could you be vitamin deficient? I think that magnesium is meant to assist with healing (don't quote me though)- I'd pop along to the Dr's just to get checked out.

Agree with indigo, your immune system needs a boost by the sound of it! There is zinc, and higher dose Vit C (RDAs are rubbish) and also Vit E cream is supposed to help with scars.

I would google vitamins for healing and scars. A GP might be a bit but you know. They always are.

Not sure if there's much you can do about scars going keloid though -- perhaps someone else knows more.

thanks. have noticed i have been a woozy so suspect am probably headibng towards anemia again so going to book a trip to the docs for a bit of an mot. I think altogether it will be a big picture from the tiny slightly annoying individual little parts.

Do you have olive or dark skin? I have dark skin so take forever to heal. I've heard that zinc is good for promoting healing so maybe worth trying a supplement.

Actually, i have glow in the dark white skin. generally take a basic multi vit during the winter to fend off colds. for me it works as i get so run down so quick. will lokk into it. cheers

agree with advice you've been given. Folic acid helps with scarring, I suffered terribly with scars until I started taking vitamins when ttc. Amazing difference now
