Blocked ear

Have had bad cold stuffing up my head for past 10 days, Sudafed helps but my ear feels horribly blocked and can't hear properly. It started up a few nights ago and was agony, but now there's just a dull, blocked sensation. The pharmacist told me only time would clear it out, but am getting a bit desperate! Have been inhaling Olbas oil when I can (sticking it in bowl of boiling water), but any other ideas?

I'd suggest stop taking the Sudafed... and keep going with the steam/Olbas remedy. Decongestants work OK to start with but, after a time, they make the problem worse rather than better... my doctor was the person who put me off them, actually.

If it doesn't clear up in a few days then see your doctor.

i had this and it drove me crazy!

I went and did those hopi candles (that you stick in your ear and burn and it drains away the excess moisure) This really helped me and my ear actually popped and i could hear!
