Facial cyst - advice quick please!

Please help if you can! I have one day to decide if I go ahead with having a lump on my cheek surgically removed... It's not painful or infected but I just started to notice it on photos and asked my doctor about it. He referred me to a dermatologist who diagnosed it as a cyst and said it could be removed by a plastic surgeon (as it was on the face). It is relatively small - probably about one cm across - and quite flat (in relation to photos I've seen on the internet whilst scaring myself to death 'doing research'). He said the scar would be slightly longer than the lump, but I am anxious now that the scar will be about 1inch long and because I have problem skin will end up being raised, puckered etc. Does anyone have any experience of this that would help me to decide if I should go ahead or not? The appointment is in two days' time, so if I am not going to do it then I need to let them know tomorrow.

Can you postpone? say you need more time to think about it (you'll go to the bottom of the list but you need to be certain)

It sounds as if you haven't been given enough information. For instance what is the liklihood of the cyst growing bigger and becoming more of a problem to remove?
