does anyone know why would one have pain in ones right side when lying on ones side. its too high up for appendix and only hurts when lying down. thanks

I get a pain like that sometimes when lying down but I've been getting it off and on for years and never yet got to the bottom of what causes it.

And that information is going to be no use to you at all... especially if your problem is sudden and acute. Can you call NHS direct?

It might be pressure on your liver? Please please go and get checked out. You will feel better to find out what it might be. Are you exp any other symptoms? Just like MoChan said, call NHS direct and pleae be checked out xx
