Is this chickenpox?

My daughter is almost 3 and for the past 3 nights has had a temperature which I have given her Calpol for. She can't settle in the evenings although very tired.

She has hardly eaten for 3 days but is drinking. During the day she only wants to lie in front of the tv and sometimes complains of bad head and sore mouth, (throat?).

I am aware that chickenpox is going around and I was wondering if it looks like she has it. How long does it take until the spots appear?

Any help would be appreciated!

None of mine were noticeably that ill before the spots appear. Actually, 2 were not ill in any way and the other 2 only had mild cold-like symptoms before spots appeared.

I hope you get the outcome you want! It's usually about 2 weeks after exposure before spots come out, if they do come out.
