Varicose Veins

Have been to see someone about my varicose veins and was told I can have an operation to have them removed, but there is a 1 in 7 chance of them returning. The cost is going to be in the region of 2K so unsure whether to have it done. Has anyone had this op and if so were they pleased with the results?

I had mine done on the NHS 25 years ago and was happy with the result. Just little pale scars no one would notice. Legs have quite blue veins but none have gone lumpy. V glad I had it done, wouldn't have wanted to live with them and if my legs are not completely brilliant now - well - I am 58 what can i expect. I can still wear shorts and a cossie without frighteneing the horses!
