Been to see him earlier. he is doing well on his recovery. but his heart rate is very erractic (from 31-130bpm whislt i was there). he is having problems with food and drink going to his lung, but they are hoping that is because of the tubes etc tha were down his throat and should correct its self. he also has a terrible cough, could be the food/drink prob but sounds very nasty, possible infection. so he is likely to be in ITU longer than they initially thought.

thoughts with you misdee, he will forget all about i.c u. i cant remember being in there, and the cough may be made worse with the anisetic coming out of the system, im wishing you all well

Misdee, sorry if my post wasn't helpful. Of course you don't want any setbacks. Was just trying to reassure that they are, sadly, common but don't mean everything won't come right. Obviously too clumsy at expressing this.
All the very best

Excellent - very nice of the nurse too.

Hope you see an improvement tomorrow, and things keep going well.

Keeping on with positive thoughts for you all, misdee. Small improvements, but that's something, I guess?
