Anyone braved an endoscopy without sedation?

I'm considering not being sedated...don't think I'll be brave enough though

Anyone out there not been drugged for an endoscopy? If so, what's it like please?

I know my father did - unpleasant - but he really didn't want to be sedated...

I didn't have sedation.

I had the numbing spray which felt odd,but it wasn't painful.I gagged all the way through,you can't help it as the camera and flex do feel uncomfortable but it literally took about 4-5 minutes.
