I just want to sing the praises of First Defence

This is a nasal spray designed to ward off colds, if used in a timely way. So as soon as you sneeze, have a tickly throat, use the spray. It stops your early symptoms from developing into a fully fledged cold. IT WORKS!

At last, I've found something that actually stops colds! I didn't believe the ads, but when I saw excellent reviews in mags, I gave it a try.

Yippeeeeeeeeee!

Reported

Peaceflower · 01/02/2010 21:27

Why has this been reported? I have no connection with the manufacturers. In my innocence I thought some people might appreciate finding out about something that could help them.

Not entirely sure why someone would report it

I get the same results with taking high dose Vit C at the first tingle though.

hormonesnomore · 01/02/2010 22:05

I once tried First Defence - never again. I thought my nasal passages were being burned with acid - I'd rather have a cold any day.

Peaceflower · 01/02/2010 22:18

Wow, sorry to hear of yr bad experience. I guess it doesn't suit everybody.

I have tried echinacea which seems to shorten the length of my colds, vit c doesn't work for me. I was just so amazed to find something working so well for me. At this time of year, I seem to have a permanent cold. But using First Defence, fingers crossed, so far I have managed to ward them off.

Peaceflower · 02/02/2010 06:26

They're going to pull all the threads about White Stuff, Boden, John Lewis etc too. Blatant advertising!!

Peaceflower · 02/02/2010 07:01

Than you puppylove, I was starting 2 think MN is not for me, if this was representative of the mindset.

ilove, you are talking utter bllocks nonsense.

mumof3teens · 02/02/2010 17:20

I agree with peaceflower - have taken fd when feeling like I am coming down with something and it hasn't developed into anything ( might just be coincidence of course )

mrschigur · 02/02/2010 22:51

I had a terrible reaction to it - never again.

I don't know anyone who thinks it works so interesting to hear different view.
