Contraceptive pill to control PMT?

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience or advice about using the contraceptive pill to control PMT? I have terrible mood swings (fury mainly!)and eat like a bastard for the week or so before (currently have an IUD) and am contemplating trying the pill.

For me the pill made my PMT 100 times worse.

I would be snappy, arguemenative and horrible.

Could not stand being in the same room as DH, as his breathing would make feel murderous. Mind you I couldn't stand being in the same room as myself as my PMT was so bad and I would get on my own nerves.
