Champix - anyone else had stomach problems?

I had to stop taking Champix after 2 weeks because I started getting blood in my poo. Which hasn't gone away and I'm now due to see the consultant next week. I've now talked to several friends who have been taking Champix and they have had similar problems.

My smoking nurse said she'd never heard that Champix would cause this and thought it was a coinicdence.

So is this a coincidence that at least 3 of us started to get this after taking Champix, or is it giving up smoking that's causing it?

Anyone else had anything similar?

The only side affect I had with champix was tiredness which my smoking nurse said would stop when I stopped smoking, and it did.
I didn't experience anything else

my sister was very nauseous with it and had to stop taking it as she was almost sick several times.

I was constantly drowsy, could have fallen asleep standing up and it made me throw up so I had to stop taking it.

This pdf file mentions blood in stools as a side effect
