hi, i don't actually have the cough yet but i feel really bunged up and feel terrible and i can feel it coming on, i always have really bad coughs that actually stop me from doing anything due to the coughing fits i have.

i just wondered if anyone had the same problem and if there is anything i can take now to prevent it happening? (wishful thinking i guess)

is there any medicine out there that anyone knows of that may help me?

Do you think you are too late to try First Defence? I have tried this several times when I felt like I was coming down with something and it has worked so far.

oh thankyou, i have never tried it but i will now, i'm open to all options

I swear by Pholcodeine linctus. It is available over the counter, makes you feel woosey then the next thing you know it's morning. I think I'm just too heavily sedated to cough. Obviously no good if you're expecting or bf and I have to warn my husband that if ds's wake up not to expect any sense out of me.

Was recommended by my GP when I had a cough that went on for weeks and within 3 days having proper sleep and giving my throat a rest the cough was gone.

mentholated Covonia is good or the chesty one as long as you are not on any heart meds

GoddessInTheKitchen · 29/01/2010 14:09
