Mirena coil

Hi,I just wanted to ask if anyone else has had lots of discharge after having the mirena coil fitted?? I had it fitted in October 09 for heavy periods and bad PMT. I have had no problems other than constant discharge, which can be red, orangey(??!!) or clear. I know a lot of women find they put weight on, but I have actually lost weight, and my sex drive has increased (although that could be due to feeling sexier now that I have lost some weight)

The yucky discharge is unpleasant and very inconvenient!! Still, its v nice not to be standing in tesco and suddenly realising that I have flooded everywhere!!

Hi,
I had the Mirena for 5 years and to be honest i would say it really does take at least a good 6 months to settle right down. I had the discharge and spotting and heavy cramping for at lest 6 months then like a switch.......nothing, not a pain or a period or a spot of anything for the full 4 years, the last 6 months it all started like when it was just put in again. x

Thank you so much, I feel better now and I'm glad that it should settle down soon. I have to admit that my PMT has vastly improved, my DH has even noticed that I'm far more 'chilled' out! x
