Tampax Dilemma!!

Help! Something is telling me I may have inserted a tampon without removing the previous one - but I honestly can't really be sure if I have or not. Has anyone ever done this before? I'll have to have a fish around in a bit and see if I can feel anything. If I can't - what should I do? Am a bit freaked out by the TSS warnings on the leaflet so maybe I should go to the docs tomorrow and have it checked - but am thinking what an unecessary embarrassment if I haven't put 2 in. Has anyone ever done this? What happened to you? Will it work its way out without me becoming ill, wouldn't I feel it up there if I have put in 2....AARGH, I wish I could remember!!!

Take a deep breath and chill out! They can't really go anywhere, just relax and have a root around as you say, you'll soon find out

I once had sex bevvied forgetting to take it out.Felt really weird and constipated had to go to family planning doctor to get out.The shame never done that again in a hurry.

As lomond said, it's not going to go anywhere, have a bath or something to relax.
And then go and buy a mooncup

I've inadvertantly inserted one on top of another. Managed to fish them both out with no worries! Just have a root around....

Have had a fish around and couldn't feel anything - used my longest finger ! Am still a little uneasy tho as I've all but convinced myself that I did put in 2. How long is the average birth canal - surely not much longer that a finger plus a tampon??? Do you think I should have been able to feel it if it was up there? Sorry if I sound a bit pathetic but I'm really panicking that I did put in 2 but I just can't feel it.

I put one in once right at the end of a period when it wasn't really necessary but because I was travelling a long way to a funeral thought it was a good idea.

Needless to say I completely and utterly forgot about it until 2 weeks later when I went to the gp with a lot of pain in my tummy. I'll never forget his face as he did the extraction and then held up the offending article on the end of his tweezer/pliar instrument!

A week of anti-biotics followed to be on the safe side. Dreadful experience. But I suppose doctors have all seen it all before. If in doubt go see gp
