bleeding after the copper coil - how long does it go on for?

I had the copper coil inserted 2 wks ago, am doing well, no pain or cramps but am still spotting. I was hoping it would only last 1 week but i'm into 2 wks now and still bleeding.

Anyone any experience/advice?

First time I had a coil fitted it took a while for my body to settle down. If it carries on for too much longer, I'd go back to GP so they can check all is OK I'd say.

After having this coil fitted I bled for two-three weeks (more than spotting), and then had periods lasting three weeks for a year before I gave up on it.
