Norovirus?? Advice needed

I am hoping someone can give me some advice.

Partner arrived here Wednesday night and was sick, promptly went home and was very unwell both ends until 3.30am yesterday morning.

Haven't seen him since and I thoroughly disinfected the bathroom when he left.

I am supposed to be seeing him at his house this evening. Although he is symptom free I am worried that he may still be contagious.

Can someone tell me whether I am putting myself at risk by spending tonight with him. I have two small children am a lone parent and if i don't work i don't get paid.

I've checked the NHS website and it says no direct contact until 48 hrs have passed since last symptom. What is direct contact?

Advice would be much appreciated.

Oh god I have that phobia too!! It's a bloody nightmare.

Would he be best to come here then. He hasn't yet had a chance to clean his bathroom and strip beds etc, as he has had no choice but to work today (not around other people)

I am so concerned for the welfare of my kids and me that I don't know what to do for the best.

So does that mean his house will be contagious????

By the way am not sure if it is Noro but presents as similar sypmtoms, but he did eat some cheap and nasty, near end date pasty on Wednesday lunchtime.

BB How did your counselling go???

well, as it's not even 48 hours since his first symptoms, I'd leave it for tonight. I've had norovirus twice - truly bloody awful, so glad you escaped!

As he's better now perhaps suggest that he properly clean all the surfaces in his house and disinfect door handles/surfaces and the entire bathroom?

Have decided to leave it for today. Should he be germ free tomorrow???

BB I would love to know more about your counselling as it is truly awful to deal with it on your own. Other people think you're crazy or pathetic. Having 2 small children makes it even worse!!
