periods every 2 weeks

Hi, just wondering if anyone else has had this? I'm 39 and usually my periods are pretty regular. Until last October when I didn't have one for 2 months. And now I'm having them every 2 weeks - came on this morning for the 4th time in 6 weeks.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I would visit the GP with a view to getting a referral to a gynaecologist. Any changes in periods like this should be reported to your GP.

The underlying cause needs to be determined - fibroids for instance can cause bleeding.

Strange because I've got the same problem - first two periods after DS3 was born have been two weeks apart. I'm 38.

Thanks. I could understand it if I'd just had a baby, cos it takes a while for periods to settle. Was thinking of going to GP if I get another one in a couple of weeks. Not sure about fibroids as no other fibroid-type symptoms.
