Lactose intolerance in toddlers

Hi,

I have just joined mumsnet and I am not sure if I am on the right site to raise the query I have or if your HEALTH link provides answers for questions about children's health issues.

At a quick glance, it looks like it is mainly about adult health.

Can someone please let me know if I am on the right track? If not, can you please point me in the right direction?

Thank you.

NinaJane

Hi Nina, my little girl is lactose intollerant, it took doctors 3 months to take my concerns seriously. If you have any questions I can try to help you find aswers.

Hi Magda, thank you for your reply - I did a little research yesterday and I now think that my 2.5 year old son has got secondary lactose intolerance, caused by a bout of gastro. Thankfully he had a normal stool for the first time last night, so here's hoping it will last!

ps: Are you South African? I ask, because Magda is an Afrikaans name. I live in Cape Town.
