Had another cholesterol test last week 'cause it is usually high (found out at age 23 when my dad died suddenly). Anyway was talking with doctor about going on a statin to lower cholesterol ( not yet though - breasfeeding) so he did Liver Function Tests too. He phoned me last week to tell me result and also said my ALT level was 3 times higher than upper level of normal range indicating liver inflammation!! Scary. I don't drink at all and am not on any medication. Have to be retested in about 4 weeks. Has this happened to anyone else and what happened next??
