Anyone got any tips for coping with sciatica?

It really hurts (whine whine) it is absolutely the worst at night when trying to sleep, no position is comfy and it just hurts so much. Ibuprofen doesn't seem to help at all.

I have an osteopath appointment tomorrow and I'm very hopeful it will help but any ideas so that I get some sleep tonight?

If you are preggers, try a TENS machine. If not, paracetamol and codeine.

lie on the floor and put your legs up on a chair so that evrything is at right angles. You may have to put some cushions on dining chair to get the angle right. Have it legs high enough so that they are almost taking your body weight and just lie there for as long as you can. It is an old fashioned way of doing traction. When you get out of bed roll onto front and roll out of bed. It really hurts..had it badly ,years ago, sympathies
