Hi,

Anyone know what the best thing for cystitis is? Im drinking loads of water but is there anything i can buy to help clear it up a bit quicker? Thanks

Both those suggestions are good, but if it doesnt clear up soon or if you get a dull ache in your back go to the doctor, if it moves to your kidneys it is not nice.

ABs the only thing that work for me when I have an actual infection

But cranberry tablets (healthfood shop) worked well as a preventative

i agree with the cranberry tablets, i have only had one infection in the last 4 months instead of one a month!

potassium citrate works fantastic.

lemon barley water, lots of, cystemme if youve got it in and antibiotics from gp first thing in morning,

i bloody hate getting this. horrible.

OP-are you sure it´s cystitis?

I recently thought I had it as it "stung" when I wee´d.

Actually had a small cut so as long as I (sorry if tmi) kept the sore skin out of the way until it healedwas OK!

Thanks everyone! I sent DH out for some potassium citrate last night and symptoms have eased already. Its the first time ive had this and its bloody awful!!

as addicted said,i second mist potassium citrate. Its the same as cystemme but 1/3rd of the price. Drink lots of water /cranberry juice
