Are you getting your under 5s vaccinated against swine flu?
I just want your opinions because i don't trust the government to make decisions on these things based on science. Just based on what looks good for them.

Yes, I am a consultant and my DS is booked in for his next week.

gingernutlover · 18/01/2010 09:11

second hand here but the nurse who did dd's said she had both her children done.

MrsTittleMouse · 18/01/2010 09:12

Yes, and yes.

bluesheep · 18/01/2010 09:22

I'm a pharmacist, DD1 has had her jab and DD2 will be vaccinated when she is 6 months.

As far as I'm concerned the risks of contracting a life-threatening virus outweigh any concern I might have about the mild side effects of the vaccine. DD1 barely even whimpered when she was vaccinated, and had suffered no ill-effect whatsoever.

TheChewyToffeeMum · 18/01/2010 09:23

I'm a GP and will definitely have my two vaccinated.

Poledra · 18/01/2010 09:26

I'm a clinical pharmacologist, and will be having my two younger ones vaccinated, as will my boss (former GP).

shazbean · 18/01/2010 09:26

Yes

EccentricaGallumbits · 18/01/2010 09:35

That is all thoretical and I have no idea if I would or not.
I haven't had it either.

happyathome · 21/01/2010 00:27

happyathome · 21/01/2010 00:31

also why are they giving under threes it when not properly tested in this age group?.I somehow missed this info when researching(which i did for a few hours!!) and now really regretting the jab..Wish i'd not been so hasty.
