check up at doctors?

I had my depo injection last week and the nurse said because id been on it a while i need to get an appointment with a female doctor before my next injection.

I had a smear teast last year which came back clear so why would i need to see a 'female' doctor?

Maybe she assumed you'd be happier/more comfortable talking with a woman? Some people are reluctant to chat to a man. I'm not, anyone can look at my ladygarden.
