I keep getting tonsilitis and having to do 10 days of antibiotics. It's very painful and leaves me feeling awful for a few days. I saw a GP today who said I should be thinking of having my tonsils out if I have 3 or more bouts a year. I will go to see a specialist, but am interested to know whether anyone's had this op as an adult and/or knows what implications it has.
