How long do NHS24 take to call back

Have had to call them re dd1 this morning. They said they would call back but have now been waiting an hour. How long will they take?? DD has had calpol and nurofen and 3 strepsils and 3 ice lollies this morning and she still cant swallow. She needs to see a gp think it may be tonislitis again. When will they call?

IME it varies a lot depending on levels of demand and in this weather, at the weekend, possibly could take a few hours.

Sorry, that's prob not what you wanted to hear. Your poor DD -- tonsillitis can be so painful.

Then again it might be quicker, don't want to make you despair!
