Provera

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I don't think it fits in the menopause section.

My history is that I have had mid cycle bleeding and subsequently had tests to check for any abnormalities but all came back negative so GP referred me to Gynae who suggested I take Provera from day 10 of my cycle to day 25.

The first month I did as requested but the second month after a week of taking the pills I bled and felt it was a period so stopped taking the Provera. Waited for bleeding to stop and then started again on Day 10 of cycle and then sure enough a week later I'm bleeding again. The leaflet does say that Provera can be unreliable.

Has anyone had this experience. I tried contacting the Gynae yesterday but with the weather the way it is they say its impossible to get an appointment for some time!!

So I will try and see my GP next week when kids are hopefully back at school. But just wonder if anyone can assure me.
