preesure behind eye

it started with a headache 6 days ago, not a painful headache as such but enough of a one for me to worry about-msort of like dull ache in my head, not always in same place, im certain this has subsided now as i havne had one today.
since tues i feel like my eyes are going to explode ! i rang nhs direct who said tension headache and to take paracetamol....
as it is today its just the upper left side of my face - temple,around eye and along cheekbone-feels like a pressure build up ! ideas anyone?

From what you describe it sounds exactly like sinuses. Try taking some sudafed and see if that eases things

Have you had a cold? Sounds like sinus problems. Try a decongestant like Sudafed (or Grangewood catarrh pills from a health shop if you can get hold of them)but if it continues I would see the GP as sinus infections are horrid.

I have had this all over new year...finally went to docs and got penicillin. It is day 3 and its easing but not gone totally - get thee t the doctors! Its hideously painful and no matter how much sudafed and paracetamol I took it didnt go away!
