not good news.

just been to see dh. his liver is massivly enlarged, its putting pressure on other organs and causing probs. they are going to start him on a new drug tonight/tomorrow to see if that helps because atm the dirutics arent working. he has gained 7kg in fluid weight in the last few days. if the new drugdopesnt work then he will have a LVAD fitted. surgeon was dispapointed that he is still waiting for transplant.

feeling pretty low as you can imagine

sally, left ventricale assist device. it will do thw work of the damaged partof his heart.

he is a bit older than your dd1 though, and understands more, he was fine with what I said, and he is now playing his computer.....

just feel so drained. how much more can his body take? they have pumped him full of meds to help his heart and thats whats caused the other probs. he seriously cant carry on like this.

oh and wheelchair clinic have said he'll need an assessment which he'll heart about in 3-4weeks, then has to be measured up etc, so its gonna be a while tioll he gets a wheelchair. by that point who knows what sort of state he'll be in, if he is still here

if not improvement by monday the LVAD will be on the cards.
