After back pain for 10+ years following a fall I've just found out I have this. I've seen a new consultant who looked at my old notes and MRI and told me. Why they didn't tell me 3 years ago I don't know.

Just waiting for another MRI now to see what change there is.

Anyone got any experience, had any treatment that's helped?

My dad has this - but he's in his sixties. He had surgery to shore up a crumbled disc which helped a bit but it does depend on where it goes IYSWIM to whether it's treatable.

Sorry you are going through this.

I'm only in my early 30s. I dread to think what I'll be like when I'm in my 60s.

i have it as a result of a serious car crash and it gives me jip every now and then. sometimes i have to roll to get out of bed. There are treatments of spinal injections and also NSAIDs ,but the one that is the magic tablet for me is Arcoxia. It starts to work within 36 hrs...its my life saver

Well if it's any consolation - he had problems from his teens but was 58 before they got to the point he needed surgery.
