Corlon pellets from the chemist, ligancane(sp?) from the dentist or there is a homeopathic remedy you can get.

SantaClausImWorthIt · 27/12/2009 18:16

Have you got any soluble aspirin? If you have, dissolve one and sloosh it around your mouth for a while - it will help to kill the pain.

wonderif · 27/12/2009 18:26

yes just got the aspirin going to go do it now i think.

what is corlon pellETS?

thanks for advice

I suffer bad with ulcers and have u tried... IGLU its a new one out its like a white thick paste very hard to put on i used a cotton bud , but once in place stays put for hours so ulcer can heal specially at night . went in 3/4 days .
bonjella is rubbish honest try this im sure will help , but in mean time maybe gargle with salt water supposed to help .
I get them alot when im run down /stressed .

hope thats a help and it goes soon.

alypaly · 28/12/2009 00:20

if you are lucky enough to find a chemist that has some adcortyl in orabase in stock, buy it. Its the best, but i believe the manufacturers are stopping making it. The other really good alternative is corlan pellets which work equally well

displayuntiltwelfthnight · 28/12/2009 00:50

...and get some good rest and look after yourself as they can often flair up when you're run down.
Hope they clear up soon.

cornsilkcremeeggspotter · 28/12/2009 01:12

Bonjela is no good. Take some strong pain killers. I used to use this purple stuff which was really good but can't remember the name. Began with an 'F' I think. Sympathies anyway - ulcers are the pits.

mumhadenough · 28/12/2009 01:13

There's a new bonjela stuff specially for ulcers, its red and in a cotton bud that you snap open and apply.

It nips like nothing on this earth but it really does work!

cornsilkcremeeggspotter · 28/12/2009 01:15

That sounds like the stuff I used to use!

wonderif · 28/12/2009 15:12

thanks everyone for advice bonjella is rubbish but i got the new bonjella stuff that cost 9 quid but it didnt work it nips alright, but didnt help me i am afraid.

i think the prob is the wisdow teeth r cutting into the gum as no room for them, so it starts to heal then they come back cus of all the rubbing.

cheers

You can buy over the counter Adcortyl in Orobase paste, it is the only thing that works on my ulcers. You need to apply at night, after drying off with a tissue. Also warm salt water mothwashes regularly. Hope you feel better soon. x

bubble2bubble · 28/12/2009 16:38

vitamin C - 1000mg - your ulcer will go in 24 hours. Sounds unlikely, but true

wonderif · 28/12/2009 22:16

am trying the vitamin c soluble 2 tabs not sure what strength they r but i will double them up now

OP posts:
wonderif · 28/12/2009 22:21

no just checked its 1000mg so have already taken 2 today and yesterday, didnt work for me

just read that adcortyl in orabase was discontinued on 5th mar 09 so if you find some in a chemist, grab it,but i think you may be unlucky as most pharmacies didnt stock alot. Corlan pellets is the nearest thing.

flossie64 · 29/12/2009 19:33

sorry went off line . corlon pellets are steroid based tiny tabs you put directly on the ulcer not comfortable but they work.
dentist would give you the lignacane, its whet they use to numb your mouth to do injections etc.
