Blood in urine

Can anyone advise? I have been feeling out of sorts recently. Awoke one night with horrendus pain in my right side, just beneath the last rib. GP told me it was a viral infection last Friday and it would clear itself over the weekend/few days. However, during the week I have been feeling more drained day by day and the residual pain is still there. I have quite a large amount of blood on the tissue when been to the loo (sorry tmi). Any ideas anyone?

Blood in urine can occur through severe kidney infection of physical trauma such as a heavy blow. Passng a kidney stone may also cause pain and bleeding.

Go to your GP straight away - this is not a good thing to be happening.

Have a look on google 100 symptoms of mold = blood in urine is one of them. Remove the mold which may be unseen, ie carpet, wall cavities. See mold-help.org.

If it is not a kidney prob it may just be a UTI, Urinary tract infection, go to your GP's either way as you will need antibiotics

It sounds like either a stone or a UTI. It will be worth your while to pop to A&E tonight if you can so they can check your urine and do an x-ray to check for a stone. I wouldn't leave this to be honest, the kidneys are delicate things so it needs sorting out ASAP.

I'd ring NHS Direct and see what they say - it might be worth popping to A&E to check for a Kidney Stone, as Fluffy says - don't mess around with your kidneys because they are delicate.
