Why the sudden change in cycle?

My cycle has always been between 28 and 35 days, but the last couple months, it's been only 11 days and 20 days.

Does anyone have any advice/experience of this?

Much thanks for any responses.

Also, periods are shorter.

Last month, 3 days. This month, started yesterday (tue) and now finishing (late wed/early thurs).

It's weird.

Has this happened to anyone else, and what could be the reason for it?

Thanks in anticipation.

Are you breastfeeding? I have the same and went to the Dr yesterday. She said it could be due to hormones from breastfeeding but has asked me to go and see her when the bleeding has stopped so she can have a look. She said I was too young for it to be anything to do with the menopause at 38. Maybe you should get checked out by the Dr too. Good luck.

I last breast-fed 11 years ago, theagedparent!

It's really strange - I don't see what could've upset my hormones all of a sudden.

I am 35 and having the same problem.

I take noriday which up to now has suited me fine. My periods go 28days, 14days, 35days, 14days, 28 days

Which is hugely annoying especially if like at christmas i loose track of where i am and late on christmas eve have to find a chemist as i was visiting my mums at the time!!!

i have spoken to the nurse as she said, "just one of those things" so i guess ride it out, but speak to your nurse if you get concerned or annoyed!! :D
