Vitiligo

My friend's daughter (aged 12) has developed vitiligo. She has been advised by an Indian doctor to go on a special vegan diet and to take a concoction of tablets which he charges about £400 for 3 months supply. I personally think she's been had. Do any MNers suffer with vitiligo and if so, what advice would you give her?

Complete and utter load of nonsense. Suggest your friend gets this Indian doctor struck off. Vitiligo is basically incurable but can sometimes be enhanced by an intensive course of laser treatment.
