and I'm just wondering if there's a lentil weaving explanation for it? Do I have a dodgy meridian line or something....

anyway, I'm actually on here searching for clues as to how to treat pre-mastitis (milk stasis).

I have jet lag, jetlagged small children, and didn't noticed I used the same side 3 times in a row to feed.. and now I have a very hard boob. Particularly upper outer quadrant which is fiendishly difficult to get a 5 month old to feed from - he's teething and distracted.

Anyway, just wondering.

J

PS Any general consoling would be good.

jack best advice i got when same happened to me was to take ibuprofen, feed frequently from that side but don't neglect the other and bed rest. of course the third is nigh on impossible!

I think stye and sore throat is genral run downedness signs. my mum swears by cold tea bags on styes have yet to get that desparate.

lots of sympathy here.

Hi MPC - haven't caught up with you since our pre-eclampsia sagas - but it sounds as if you both came through it in one piece?

Will go and find ibuprofen and teabags :-)

All in one piece induced 38 weeks for high bp 6 hrs start to finish bouncing six month old. Where does the time go?? I lost you in newborn blur I did wonder how things had worked out!

Thanks for the milk idea - the sort of thing that should be second nature, but I think I left behind when I got on the plane.

MPC - I know - 6 months come Christmas, huge baby, although started normal size!

By the time I was induced (39 weeks) was 200/100 and a little scary, but all went very fast. 2nd stage was 10 minutes and I actually slept til the delivery I was so knackered. he woke me up to check on progress and there was a head! Freakish, but makes up for last time's 6 day hell.

Have a great christmas :-)
