I'm really scared and hope i'm just over reactting but can someone talk to me oplease? I've had a really really bad cough for the last two weeks - coughing really deep and long. The last few days i've also been wetting myself quite alot when i cough (as opposed to the normal dribble i get sometimes this has been enough to need to change clothes once or twice). Anyway, just went for a wee and noticed a kind of lump inside my vagina. I was also able to push this 'lump' back in. I'm pretty certain this is a 'prolapse' but don't really know what that measn or what can be done about it. I guess i need to see a doctor but can anybody please make me feel better in the meantime? Hope that all makes sense. I feel very frightened.

Sounds like it- you need to see your dr.
There are loads of threads on here if you search and also if you read the Posterior and Anterior repair thread.
Suggest you also google prolapse- loads of info out there.
Don't worry- it's common and can be fixed!

Thanks pp, been reading up a bit since last post and not quite so worried now. I just thought i was too young for this! I'm only 29. But it seems it can happen at any age and prob was due to the coughing. It was very scary when i found it though.

hi mumofoscar, does sound fairly like prolapse. I have a prolapsed uterus which occured 6 months after DD birth. Go to GP, mine was brilliant, did a quick internal and immediately referred me to specialist. All sorts can be done to help. I had some physio from a lovely lady physiotherapist which mainly concentrated on using a machine (bit like a tens machine) to help strengthen pelvic floors. Hope this helps and good luck

Oh thanks Clure. Still feeling pretty crappy about the whole thing - kinda hoped it would have all gone away by this morning Been googling some more too and realised its not quite the disaster i thought it was yesterday. Thanks for info.
