just come on for a whinge.

had BR 4 1/2 weeks ago and am still in sooo much pain. I am a very optomistic ( some would say naive) person and just presumed i would be fine and after 2 week sor so would be back to normal. ( i found emergency cs and hysterectomy followed by 3 days in ITU a peice of cake and was up and about a week later no probs to give oyu an idea) BUT i am still in so much pain and infact it is getting worse. I cry every day , my right breast ahs 2 huge areas which have become necrotic and are all green and sloughy and smell and now the L has a raw patch on the vertical incision which is just not healing. i am up to my ears in painkillers and nantibiotics and having second daily dressings , this has been goign on for 10 days and i feel it will never get better ( very unlike me to be so despondent). anyone out there had BR surgery and had ropey time recovering....please come and tell me it will be allright .

have been seeing my practise wound nurse every second day for dressings , i htink the prob was had it doen in london and live 3 hrs away so only saw clinic nurse at 1 week and then 2 week , they didin't tell me to soak off the scabs which caused ulceration underneath. not critising surgeon who has doen fab job ( had total of 2 1/2 kilos removed so BIG job) but follow up has been very poor. Practise nurse is lovely and keeps telling me it will all heal up eventually , we are having to lift off all the scab and dead tissue and then it can heal , i know it will be ok eventually but just so fed upa t moment
