Anything high fat, esp cheese!

tipsycat · 17/12/2009 15:12

Luxury ice cream, chinese banquets, creamy pasta sauces. I've had my gall bladder removed now, but I remember nasty attacks after eating the above items. (Not all at once, I hasten to add!!!)

LouHasSixWhiteBoomers · 17/12/2009 15:20

Bread and when I go a bit hard core on the cheese. Very unpleasant side effects. Also I get drunk much quicker too (bile duct was halved at the same time during the op).

CommonNortherner · 17/12/2009 15:45

Coffee, irritated it but gave no attacks. Same with chocolate.

First ever attack was after a cheese toastie, second after stir fry with sesame oil.

I controlled mine with diet for nearly 2 years, but at the end anything over 10g of fat per 100g was completely out, and it was best for me to eat less than 5g per 100g.

Why would you want to test them out?? Gallstone pain was the worst ever pain I've ever had in my life!

Thanks guys

I don't really mean I want to eat all the things on your lists

but if it is something that I like to eat that sets yours off then I will only eat a tiny bit of it and then see what happens

And then prepare myself for a sleepless night

Mine was set off with garlic rolarde cheese but regular chedda seems ok
