Irregular periods

My periods have never been regular always late for one or two weeks and some times even two months with obviously very heavy bleeding. I wonder what could be the reason. Dh was saying it could be because i hate having period. I know it cant be the reason.

Could be any number of things: polycystic ovaries, hormonal imbalance and thyroid problems can cause period problems. The one thing that can't cause it is hating having them, otherwise we'd all have heavy and irregular periods! Get it checked out with your GP.
