I have a friend who's daughter is currently in The Priory undergoing treatment for Anorexia. However friend is very concerned that no progress is being made. Does anyone know anywhere/anyone else that specialises in the treatment of this hideous illness?

Rhodes Farm in north london is meant to be the best specialist place in the UK for eating disorders.

My sister was treated for anorexia at the Priory in Chelmsford.

Thank you for that info. Sadly she is too old for Rodes Farm. Hopefully she is in the right place and will start to make improvements.

Well I would have suggested the Maudsley in Beckenham but that's NHS...not sure where is good if you want private.

How long has she been there for? Recovery from anorexia takes a long time and lots of things will have a factor in how long the initial healing takes. Alot of places will tackle the psychological part first, which obviously would not suddenly make a person start to eat again.

Progress can only be made if she wants it to be
